Before collecting my suitcases for London Fashion Week, I wanted to change the location for a while and spend a few days in silence and alone. But instead of escape out of town, I decided to pretend to be a tourist and go for the weekend to the center of the capital – Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya hotel.

Hotel Leningradskaya located in the 17-storey building of one of the seven skyscrapers was constructed in 1947, and a few years ago was bought by the most famous owner of the network of hotels and he subjected the building to capital repairs. In 2008 in Moscow there appeared Hilton hotel.

Speaking about Hilton – one of the largest hotel corporations which includes 4,200 hotels and resorts in 93 cities around the world, impossible not to mention its founder – Conrad Hilton. The history of Hilton hotels dates back to 1919 when 31-year-old Conrad, who had just endured the bankruptcy of his first enterprise gets The Mobley hotel in the city of Sisko of the State of Texas. For the deal Hilton had to take a bank loan, but in the end the business earned in a year, and Conrad began to acquire other hotels in Texas. In 1925 Conrad opened the first hotel under the name Hilton – Dallas Hilton.

Conrad Hilton was not only the leader with big ambitions, but also the innovator who built the business with great enthusiasm. And it has played a significant role in the development of an international corporation. Hilton were a first-ever chain of hotels with tap water, TVs in the guest numbers and the air conditioning system. Conrad became the first who introduced gradation of hotels on “stars” and established specialized booths with gifts and souvenirs. Hilton personally researched the addictions of the famous clients. Mint sugar candies for the U.S. President, Alpine violets for the one eminent actress – desires and needs of the lodgers were executed even before their appearance in the room.

Conrad’s company became the first who introduced help system which provided information about the availability of rooms in the hotels worldwide, and also the system of encouragement of regular customers – loyalty program Hilton HHonors. Thanks to the efforts, full dedication and introductions of innovations Conrad Hilton managed to create one of the most known and technological chain of hotels in the world.

Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya – a five-star hotel which is located near the historic center of Moscow: just a few minutes’ drive from Red Square and the Kremlin. There are 273 rooms in the hotel (including 5 of “historical suites” with a refined interior in the spirit of “Stalin” classicism and 1 “presidential suite” with a luxurious living room).

My first unconditional love in this hotel was the interior – a combination of the Russian baroque and elements of temple architecture. Stairs, decorated with marble, columns of the majestic sizes, the inner arch painted in blue tones, gilded stucco molding, massive fishnet chandeliers – grandness and wealth in each detail. The well-known many-tier chandelier, which length is more than 15 meters and which is included in The Guinness Book of Records!

The second love is the room. I liked its design and especially the bathroom with the Peter Thomas Roth body creams which smell simply magnificently! I can’t even express how pleasant it was to come back to the room after several hours spent in the pool, take a shower, make hot tea (tea and coffee available in every room) and to observe the city from a window of room on the 18th floor. And if after such rest you don’t want to go down for dinner at all, it is enough to make one call and they will deliver your food and drinks in your room straight from restaurant “Janus”.

What I like the most is the combination of luxury service and democratic approach. When I was settled in a hotel, for a few minutes I had the feeling that I don’t fit this magnificent interior in the jeans and a t-shirt. But a few hours later, when I came down with other guests in a bathrobe from the room to the pool, I realized that I’m very relaxed here. Speaking about the pool and other services it is worth mentioning the existence of 24/7 fitness in the hotel and the center with the Finnish sauna and Spa – the «SPA MOSAIC» center.

If the purpose of your visit is work, here you will find some several halls for events and 2 conference rooms, equipped with the latest technical innovations, the hotel is ideal for holding business meetings and conferences.

It is especially pleasantly that in spite of the fact that the Hilton empire exists many years, there is still a special approach to their guests which was originated by her founder. The presence of the concierge, incredible attention of the personnel and care of that your staying is not a luxury in Hilton, it’s invariable classics.
