5 rules stylish women always follow

As my previous posts devoted to building the perfect wardrobe (‘Wardrobe basics’ and ‘Why you should wear red’) got a big response from my readers, I’ve decided to share with you a new post from this series. This time is all about 5 rules stylish women always follow. Turn them into your habits to make your outfits look better.

Invest in pieces that will always be in style

Everybody knows that trends that changes every season deserve our attention, but you should invest in key items first. White shirt, perfect fitted jeans and black shoes – the basic ensemble which always meets a case. These timeless pieces will never go out of fashion.

Put the quality over quantity

When I was younger I couldn’t understand why people spend big money on basic pieces. I mean if you can find simple black trousers in every store, why do you buy it at luxury boutique? But over the years, after I bought some expensive things, I understood the secret: it is all about the material.  Read the composition of material before and you will see that it is better to buy one expensive thing which will serve to you many years, than five cheap which will lose the look after the first washing.

Don’t forget about great accessories

You don’t have to buy the designer stuff, but again invest in the classics: statement necklace or gold bracelet. And coming back to the first rule accessories can make your outfit look like you spent a million dollars without actually doing so.

Shoes must be the most expensive thing in wardrobe

Girls, think for a moment: what is the first thing that you pay attention when you meet someone? Yes, you’re right – shoes. My first expensive purchase was a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes and I swear it’s one of the best investments in my life. No matter what I wear on, they make it look like I just came down the catwalk.

Have a style signature

It’s very important not only to develop your personal style, but to have a signature. In my case it’s a combination of gold watches and gold bangle that I always wear on the left hand. However, one thing is enough, choose it and make it a part of your personal style.

I hope you like these rules and, please, share your thoughts and tips in the comment section below!

And here are my top ten pieces that every stylish woman should have:
