Поскольку мой пост с интересными фактами о Дубаи получил большой отклик, я решила продолжить эту славную традицию и сегодня хочу рассказать вам 5 фактов о Будапеште, которые вы не знали!

 

Три города

 

Будапешт был образован в 1873 в результате объединения трех исторически развитых частей — Буда, Обуда и Пешт. Буда была основана в 10-м веке на западной стороне Дуная, в то время как Пешт, занимающий большую часть города, появился несколькими годами позже на восточной стороне реки. Самый старый района Будапешта — Обуда — некогда был северным пригородом Буды.

 

Самый высокий и самый большой

 

Несмотря на тот факт, что в Будапеште нет ни одного небоскреба или здания выше 96 метров, Здание венгерского парламента является третьим по величине зданием парламента в мире! Выполненное в стиле неоготики, оно покрывает область 18,000 кв. метров и имеет 691 комнату, 29 лестниц и 27 выходов.

 

Старейшая и старейший

 

Линия М1 — является второй самой старой веткой метрополитена в мире (после Лондонского метро) и первой линией континентальной Европы. Ее открытие в 1896 году позволило Будапешту стать первым городом в Евразии с метрополитеном!

 

Будапештский Зоопарк (до которого, к слову, можно добраться по Линии М1) был открыт в 1866 году и является одним из самых старых зоопарков в мире!

 

«Кубик Рубика»

 

Всемирно известная механическая головоломка была изобретена венгерским архитектором Эрнё Рубиком, который родился и провел всю свою жизнь в Будапеште. Стоит упомянуть, что Венгрия славится и другими изобретателями и учеными, среди которых журналист Ласло Биро (современная шариковая ручка), химик Альбертом Сент-Дьёрди (открытие Витамина C), Эдвард Теллер (водородная бомба). И говоря о великих открытиях, у Венгрии есть 13 лауреатов Нобелевской премии!

 

Граф Дракула

 

Хотя граф Дракула происходит из Трансильвании (Румынии), прообразом главного героя романа Брэма Стокера «Дракура» является реальная историческая личность — Влад III Цепеш, который был также известен как Влад Дракула, что в переводе с румынского означает «сын дракона».
